In 1997, he was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Beiuș.
The generation of our parents left us a precious inheritance: faith, and the personal example of living steadfastly under very harsh conditions. Our generation must pass this faith on to those who come after us, following the example set by our parents and grandparents and living with the hope of being reunited with all those who have gone before us in our heavenly homeland.
